The Restaurant at North Block

"The service at North Block was excellent. Our waiter was fantastic, and the rest of the staff was equally attentive and professional. The atmosphere was also top-tier, beautiful, relaxing, and exactly what you’d expect from a Yountville dining experience. No complaints whatsoever on the service or ambiance. Where the restaurant fell a bit short for me was the food. For the price point, I was expecting at least one dish that would make me want to come back specifically for it, but I didn’t find that here. The food was good overall, just not particularly memorable. The lobster risotto was enjoyable, though it was a little too salty for my taste and could benefit from a more subtle balance of flavors. The octopus and scallops were both well-prepared and tasty, but neither really delivered the “wow” factor I was hoping for given the cost. Overall, North Block offers outstanding service and a great atmosphere, but the food, while good, didn’t quite justify the premium price point for me."
