Napa Valley Restaurant

"Stopped in here for lunch around 145 with a reservation on a Sunday with no problems. Plenty of open seating at the time too. I ordered the steak frites. The steak was incredible. So tender and perfectly cooked to a medium rare. The peppercorn sauce though was a little too strong and the butter pat on top did not melt and with the sauce blew my pallet so it tasted like nothing. The fries were very crispy and addicting but overly salted so I had to stop for a drink on the way home. I was excited to see the Basque cheesecake was gluten free so we had to order it. So glad we got the passionfruit sauce that it came with on the side because boy was it sour. Plus this is not a critique on them but why are we eating this over a creamy traditional cheesecake? I don't get the hype. Glad I tried it, probably will never eat it again. The meal was good but I don't believe I will be back."
